A splendid and imposing music & dance event titled 'Sur- Vahar' (Music and Dance Bonanza) was conducted today at the central courtyard Delhi Public School Baramulla. It was a well conducted and variety based bonanza containing all the aesthetical tastes and variety of entertainment and excitement for the students. An inter-house Qawali competition was also held apart from other music and dance items. From Hamdan House's 'Tu bol kafara kya hoga' Qawali item to Kalam House's 'Tu kuja man kuja' followed by Gandhi House's famous number 'Dama Dum Mast Qalandar" to the Iqbal House's very famous 'Bhar do Jholi mere ya Muhammad' sung by Sabri Brothers. The bonanza included various dance items as well. From Mazhar Siddiqui's beautifully composed Kashmir song 'Tosh Tosh Bulbulo' sung by Shameema Akhter to Mahalaxmi Iyer's 'Desh mera Rangila'. Korean star Blackpink's 'Jisoo Flower dance' took the center stage as the students presented a marvelous item on it with the audience chanting 'once more- once more'. From Indian classical dance performed on the famous 'Naino wale ne' to the 'Hola Hoop Dance' with the hoop representing the never-ending circle of life. The program ended with the show stellar 'Break dance duet' on the famous Korean song 'Break my heart myself' with the audience again chanting 'once more, once more. Towards the culmination, Iqbal House was declared winner of the Inter House Qawali Competition by the Jury.
